Bethenny Frankel: Jason Hoppy Harassed and Tortured Me for YEARS

The custody battle between The Real Housewives of New York City star Bethenny Frankel and Jason Hoppy continues to heat up.

Weeks ago, Bethenny told the court that Jason abused and manhandled their child.

Now, Bethenny describes the many insidious ways in which he allegedly tortured and harassed her.

RadarOnline reports that, during the pair’s latest appearance in court, Bethenny admitted to a furious outburst.

“There was a time where he was sleeping and you threw water at him, correct?” Hoppy’s attorney asked.

“I don’t know if he was sleeping,” Bethenny admitted. “But I threw water on him.”

Hoppy’s lawyer then referred her to her testimony from 2014, and asked her to read it back.

“’I splashed water at him when he was sleeping. I cracked.’ Okay then yes,” Bethenny read and acknowledged.

As you may recall, Bethenny and Jason split back in 2012.

If it feels like it wasn’t quite that long ago, that is because their divorce was ugly and prolonged.

Their divorce was not finalized until 2016.

Recently, Bethenny has been locked in battle with Jason Hoppy because she wants more physical custody over their daughter.

Bryn is now 8 years old, and Bethenny is seeking “ultimate decision-making authority.”

But while Jason’s side used that incident against her, Bethenny says that Jason made a habit of tormenting her over a span of years.

As an example, People reports that she cites a May 9, 2015 FaceTime incident.

“I have a video I recorded. I was trying to FaceTime Bryn,” Bethenny describes.

“And I experienced every day and every time I tried to do that,” she says. “Jason using it as a tool to taunt and harass me.”

“That day I recorded our correspondence,” she explains. “That weekend was Mother’s Day weekend, Bryn’s birthday and birthday party and celebration.”

Bethenny says that, when she tried to contact Bryn to FaceTime, Jason picked up — and then hung up on her.

“He sent me a series of abusive emails that day,” Bethenny notes. “He called me a wise ass, he mocked me.”

“He said I needed to seek help and told me if I couldn’t control my behavior I shouldn’t come to her birthday party,” Bethenny describes.

“Making me feel not welcome,” she alleged, noting that she did attend the party.

“It was Jason’s party for her and Jason’s parents and friends surrounded her so I just stood back,” she details. “I’m the outsider.”

Bethenny describes how she called to “talk to Bryn for a minute.”

“Keep recording me,” she describes Jason having said. “Keep recording me. Okay, you lost your privilege for recording me.”

Bethenny says that she had similar experiences “two times a day every day” for a long time.

That changed when she received the order of protection against her ex.

“Jason would use FaceTimes to taunt me, laugh at me … harass me,” Bethenny laments. “Torture and taunting every day.”

“I have tried everything,” Bethenny says of her struggles to cope with Jason’s alleged viciousness.

“I have tried a brave face, parent coordinating, pleading, ignoring, blocking, surrogates,” she lists.

Bethenny continues: “I have tried everything to collaborate and work in the best interest of my daughter.”

“What is best for Bryn is the rational person making good decisions,” she says.

Bethenny expresses: “Everybody just wants to protect their kids.”

“Jason always finds a way to be destructive and not coordinating,” Bethenny accuses.

“If he can’t get through the door, he gets through the window. …” she describes.

Bethenny continues: “He finds creative ways to torture me when no one is looking.”

Notably, she had to get a second protective order because he allegedly began harassing her friends as a way to get to her.

“He will always find a way to be menacing and try to hurt me and that is not the best interest of Bryn,” Bethenny tells the court.

“He puts hurting me over making good decisions,” she alleges.

Bethenny concludes: “He has made bad decisions since 2012 when he vowed to destroy my life.”

Peaceful, amicable divorces are very rare, and custody battles can be even more heated an intense.

We hope that this case can be resolved soon and in the best interests of Bryn.
