Mossimo Reportedly Yelled At Olivia Jade's High School Guidance Counselor After Being Questioned About Her "Rowing Credentials"
The Lori Laughlin and Mossimo Giannuli’s scandal just took another turn as Olivia Jade’s high school guidance counselor is reportedly getting called as a witness in their case (because you know, this mess is going to trial as of now since Aunt Becky and Mossimo made the genius move of pleading not guilty and think it’s they’re only chance of clearing their pristine reputations). Shit was already real, but now shit just really really really got real because of a high school guidance counselor getting involved. If the assistant principal gets called next, they are truly fucked!!!
According to TooFab:
Olivia Jade’s high school guidance counselor is being called as a witness in the college admissions case against her parents, TooFab has exclusively learned.
The Marymount High School staff member was involved in an incident with the teenager’s father Mossimo Gianulli, after he questioned Olivia Jade’s supposed rowing credentials, according to the Department of Justice.
Questioned her rowing credentials? Did he not see the photoshopped picture? Did he forget that you can be the star of a team even if the team is totally made-up? It’s like when my guidance counselor told me I couldn’t get into Harvard because I’ve failed pre-Algebra 7 years in a row. So rude.
Mossimo and wife Lori Laughlin stand accused of paying scam mastermind Rick Singer $500,000 to sneak their daughters into the University of Southern California through the “side door” by pretending they were athletes. During discussions with admissions staff at USC, the counselor learned that Olivia’s older sister Isabella had applied to the college as part of the rowing team — which came as a surprise as Marymount itself didn’t have one.
That very same day Donna Heinel, the former USC senior associate athletic director who was fired in March after being indicted in connection with the college admissions scandal, left Singer a voicemail raising concerns about parents coming down to Marymount to “yell at counselors”, warning it could “shut everything down”.
“I just want to make sure that, you know, I don’t want the — the parents getting angry and creating any type of disturbance at the school,” she said in her voicemail. “I just want to make sure those students . . . if questioned at the school that they respond in a[n] appropriate way that they are, walk-on candidates for their respective sports. They’re looking forward to trying out for the team and making the team when they get here. OK? That’s what I just want to make sure of.”
“So I just don’t want anybody going into . . . [the Giannuli’s daughter’s high school], you know, yelling at counselors. That’ll shut everything — that’ll shut everything down,” she said according to court documents.
Imagine being so delusional that you go down to a high school and yell at a guidance counselor who dares to question if your daughter was a crew member……. for a crew team that doesn’t exist. It’s insanity. It’s such a dick move. Those poor counselors deal with entitled teenagers and rich parents all day long, they don’t need the extra headache of a hotheaded has-been Target* fashion designer. ( *I say this as someone who’s clothes almost exclusively comes from Target.)
Also, to be a fly on that wall as Mossimo yelled at the counselors:
Mossimo: How dare you, my daughter is a crew star!
Counselor: Umm, we don’t a crew team here.
Mossimo: Ok… but let’s say I happen to gift you with a leftover t-shit from the Mossimo x Target collection, would you suddenly remember that you have a crew team here? *winks*
