Stacey Dooley's ex labels Kevin Clifton 'slimy snake' in 'confrontation'

‘Strictly is meant to be a family show – my little niece watches it – but it’s so sleazy, and I cannot begin to wonder what goes on behind the scenes.’

Saying he has ‘no respect’ for Kevin, Sam added: ‘He’s an absolute complete f***ing rat with no b******s or decency to hear me out. The fact he won’t have a man-to-man conversation with me says everything about the guy.’

Reports Sam and Stacey had split after several years first surfaced last month.

The Strictly Come Dancing champ and Sam were thought to have called it quits after their relationship was put ‘under strain’ by her touring commitments with the show.

Following her win in December last year, Stacey then threw herself back into work and was among the Strictly stars who headed out on the road across the UK to perform for fans.

Yesterday Sam first broke his silence on the rumours, claiming he found texts from Kevin to Stacey as they were preparing to leave their Brighton flat.

‘I was getting my stuff to leave. Stacey was in the loo. Her phone went and it was Kevin Clifton,’ he previously told The Sun. ‘I grabbed the phone and confronted her. She said she’d tell me everything I needed to know.’

After having a row they both left their flat in Brighton separately.

He went on to say that Stacey told him she didn’t start ‘entertaining’ Kevin until they had split up.

‘I did fall for him but when we were done,’ Sam claims the presenter said. He replied: ‘I don’t hate you Stacey. I hate what you’ve done.’ contacted reps for Kevin, Stacey and Strictly for comment.
