Unsurprisingly for someone who has built a career in fashion, Miss Archer was perfectly dressed for the occasion, plumping for a £250 polka dot midi by LK Bennett – a brand beloved by the Duchess of Cambridge.

Miss Archer accessorised the look with a statement knotted headband in a soft pink and drop earrings in the same delicate shade.

Mr Jackson, who took he official photographs for Prince Charles’s 70th birthday, captioned the first picture: ‘Could not be more proud of this one! – forcing her to wear it through lunch! #MVO.’

Miss Archer – known as Tash –joined the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge as a personal assistant in 2007 after graduating from King’s College London.

She previously attended Uppingham School in Rutland.

Five years ago, she was promoted to become the Duchess’s stylist and was a key figure in the Cambridges’ successful tour of Australia, where she was spotted watching a rugby match with the Royal couple.

She has travelled around the world with the Cambridges on official tours to help co-ordinate Kate’s wardrobe.

Miss Archer is among the couple’s inner circle and has played an important role in some of their most important days as a family.

She was spotted arriving at St Mary’s Hospital’s private maternity unit where Prince Louis was born to help the duchess get ready for her public appearance that day.
