Sainsbury’s SLASHES cost of Prosecco ahead of the bank holiday
Sainsbury’s wants customers to celebrate the bank holiday in style.
The supermarket has begun flogging £5 bottles of Prosecco, allowing shoppers to mark the occasion without breaking the bank.

Sainsbury’s is selling bottles of its Prosecco DOC Castello del Poggio for a fiver.
The sparkling wine has fruity notes that perfectly compliment the spring season.
According to the supermarket, customers should be able to pick up flavours of golden apple, white peach and sweet honey.
The plonk is also said to pair well with cured meats, so why not bring it out if you’re serving canapés this Bank Holiday.
The bargain booze can be snapped up from May 1.
It will only be reduced for six days, so you’ll have to be quick if you want to try it.
The product is subject to availability and is being stocked in 400 selected stores across Britain.
While many of us will be looking forward to the bank holiday weekend, sunny weather isn’t likely.
Met Office meteorologist Aidan McGivern says “slow-moving weather front” is moving across western parts of Britain”.
He added this will bring “a lot of cloud cover and also some outbreaks of rain”.
