A Place In The Sun presenter Laura Hamilton, 38, has two children; son Rocco, six, and five-year-old daughter Talia with her husband Alex Goward, who she married in 2012. During lockdown, she caught up with Express.co.uk and revealed her son’s reaction to her having another baby in the future.

Laura said while she has no plans to have a third child, she admitted her son Rocco has been asking for a baby brother.

When asked if she’d have anymore children, she said: “No, Talia is five and Rocco is six.

“I think two is enough, they’re so close in age, though Rocco would always say to me, ‘I want a brother, can you have a boy?’

“I did say to Rocco, ‘If we did have a baby and had a boy, it would be a big age gap’.

“‘You’d be 10 when he’s five and you wouldn’t want to play with a five-year-old’.

“He’s like, ‘I would, I’ll look after him’.”

The property expert added she was “really grateful” to have her two children close together, particularly in light of lockdown.

“They are at an age where, even though they fight of course, they play together quite nicely in the garden as well,” she explained.

“I think for people who have got one child, that must be really difficult.

“You’ve got to be with them and give them your attention all the time. They’ve [her children] got each other to play with.”

Like many UK citizens, Laura has been spending time at home since filming for A Place In The Sun was put on hold earlier this year.

Travelling abroad is currently restricted due to the continuous spread of the coronavirus.

Despite not being able to film for the show, Laura has been keeping busy working on her own mini series.

The property expert said she has been filming videos with her husband to give fans an insight into their home life and marriage.

In one of their first videos, Laura attempted to cut her spouse’s hair, but joked he “got angry” with her for filming him in his pants.

She said: “Every once in a while we are going to try and do a video of fun stuff that is going on at home or something around the shop [their coffee shop].

“There are funny things that happen up there. I think that’s what people need is a bit of a laugh, people can see a different side to me.

“I feel like people don’t get to see what our lives are really like, like a lot of people on tele.”

She added: “I did start videoing his hair cut and he was in his pants and he went, ‘Put a towel round me!’

“He stopped the video halfway through because he was getting so angry with me.”

A Place In The Sun continues today at 3pm on Channel 4.
