Amanda Holden shocks with singing voice as she takes on The Greatest Showman

Amanda Holden left fans stunned when she showed off her rarely heard singing voice on Instagram.

The multi-talented TV star recorded the song Tightrope from musical The Greatest Showman.

Amanda, 47, revealed her cover was done as a present for husband Chris Hughes to mark their tenth wedding anniversary.

The mum also roped in their daughters Lexi, 12, and Holly, six, to help her out on backing vocals.

She wrote: "A fantastic Daddy and husband. We made this little video for The Greatest Showman in our lives to celebrate 10 years married and Chrispy’s birthday today. We’re sharing this with you too and wish you all a happy & joyous Christmas x"

As soon as the black and white video was posted to Amanda’s Instagram page she was bombarded with comments from impressed fans.

"Is there no end to this lady’s talents?" asked one.

"Made me cry!!!!! Please start singing more often!!! I would love to hear ur voice on the radio!!!!! " echoed another emotional fan.

While a third hailed it ‘the best version so far.’

It may have come as a surprise to some fans, but Amanda has starred in several stage musicals in the pst.

She has appeared as Princess Fiona in Shrek The Musical and was nominated for a Laurence Olivier Theatre Award for Best Actress in a Musical for her performance in the West End production of Throughly Modern Millie.

Last month Amanda and hubby Chris alsocelebrated their milestone ten year wedding anniversary by jetting off to the Maldives for a ‘second honeymoon’.

Amanda documented their romantic break by sharing plenty of loved-up selfies and a few snaps of her enviable bikini bod too.

The pair married in December 2008 five years after they met in Los Angeles in 2003.

While on their island break, Amanda shared a throwback snap from their wedding day.

"Celebrating 10 years of marriage with this man! My smile says it all," said Amanda alongside the snap of her in a stunning Ellie Saab gown and veil.
