Celebs Go Dating’s Tom Read Wilson opens up on virtual dating in lockdown as he reveals his ideal type

Tom Read Wilson is known for being one of the first faces we see on the popular E4 show Celebs Go Dating.
Working as a receptionist on the programme, the 34 year old offers each celebrity their first bit of advice before they head in to meet the relationship experts. But what is Tom looking for in a partner himself?
During an exclusive chat with OK! online about the Harrogate Spring Water’s design competition, Tom opened up on his ideal type and revealed he's been going on virtual dates throughout the various lockdowns in the UK amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

"My type is, I guess, quite broad," he explained. "I always say it falls under the umbrella of 'wildly different to me in every respect'. I've always thought that two thirds of beauty lies in fascination really.
"I love that thing of sort of studying their useful countenance and thinking, 'Oh gosh I could never quite charter that'. I feel the same in every aspect of a person."
Tom, who recently revealed how he beats lockdown anxiety and shared the slogan we should all live by, went on to stress just how different he would want his potential partner to be compared to himself.

He continued: "I'd love it if they had a different profession that I know nothing about but fascinated me.
"Dating a vet or a doctor or something like that. I fantasise endless about coming home from work at the end of the day and asking, 'What did you do today darling?' and for them to kind of leave me baffled but educated and stimulated all at once."
When asked if there was anyone in his life currently, he said: "No, not to want of trying…

"I do have one [dating] app and I have over the course of the lockdowns.
"I haven't done a virtual date in a very long time but in the first lockdown I tried my hand at virtual dating and I have to say there is some kind of hidden perks that revealed themselves to me."

Tom, who recently weighed in on Wayne Lineker and Chloe Ferry's relationship, added: "Having access to your media and being able to play them a song that you love or them to do the same. Or to be able to show them your favourite painting in your apartment and things like that…"
