Dan Osborne speaks out as wife Jacqueline Jossa breaks down in tears on I’m A Celebrity

Dan Osborne said it was “horrible” to see his wife so upset after she broke down in tears on Thursday’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

The former EastEnders star admitted to missing her children, daughters Mia, one, and Ella, four, on the show, as she competes in the jungle alongside the likes of Nadine Coyle and Ian Wright.

Taking to his Instagram stories during the show, Dan reassured that he will head out to Australia with the children to support Jacqueline, 27, in a matter of days.

Taking to his Instagram stories, Dan told fans as he watched the show from his phone in his car: “Obviously it’s horrible seeing Jac upset because she’s missing the girls, I knew she would miss the girls. But she will be fine, she will get on with it.

“Talking about it probably helps, it’s nice that she’s got people in there that she can talk to about the kids and share some nice memories with them.”

Dan then reassured fans that the children are in “good hands” and that they were being looked after by his mum while he was at work.

“Before you know it they’ll be in Australia waiting for Jac when she gets out of there,” he added.

Dan then shared his appreciation for football legend Ian Wright, who was seen consoling Jacqueline during the emotional scenes, saying he can’t wait to “have a beer with him” when he arrives in Australia shortly.

Jacqueline was clearly pining for her family in the heartbreaking scenes as she woke up in tears and was seen crying in her sleeping bag.

Talking in the Bush Telegraph, the actress said: “I just woke up feeling a bit like ‘mmmm’ when you’re just looking up at pure Jungle and you think ‘wow, I’m so far away from home’.”

She added: “The thing is, everyone is missing their families, I just feel like it’s too soon to be crying missing your family…and we all smell so bad, we just stink, I stink, the smelliest I’ve ever been in my life.”

After comforting her, Ian then told the camera: “She misses her kids which is natural, she misses her husband, everything like that.”

Ahead of her appearance Dan revealed his pride that Jacqueline signed up for the show as he continues to support her by tuning in every night.

He said: "I’m really proud of Jac going into the jungle – I really think she has already shown that she is up for anything.

"And the fact that she’s been in Snake Rock first will prepare her for main camp, because let's face it, if she can survive in there main camp will be a breeze.

"We are missing her a lot, Mia is a bit too young to understand where mummy is, Ella knew she was going into the jungle but just thinks of it as Mummy going to work.

"But I’ve got Daddy daycare under control – it’s how we work together when she’s here anyway. We rely on each other to help so the other can go to work – just like any other married couple would.

"I go to work in my tattoo shop and she goes to work at her Academy so we try and work around each other for childcare. But we will be there waiting for her when she comes out wearing our Team Jac outfits!"
