Good Morning Britain presenter Kate Garraway took to Instagram today to reveal that she has packed up her husband Derek Draper’s belongings from his therapy rooms and office. It comes as her other half continues his recovery from coronavirus.
The 54-year-old explained that she had to have a clear out of her spouse’s work possessions.
The mum-of-two has been putting it off as she didn’t want to “give up hope” on him returning to work.
Derek, 54, returned to the family home this year after his long battle with coronavirus.
Taking to the picture-sharing site this afternoon, Kate penned: “So… one of the things I’ve been tackling is packing up Derek’s therapy rooms & office.
“Had been dragging my feet because I knew it would be so emotional & because didn’t want to seem to be giving up hope of him returning to the work he loves one day.
“Then the building was put up for sale and we had to clear out – fate!”
She continued: “Next problem was the huge task of packing up all his files, his cuttings, books and furniture he’s treasured for decades.
“Step forward the team from @davisandmac – this is not an ad just a hearty recommendation of a great team of lads who worked damn hard and were so sensitive to the situation.”
Kate finished: “Thanks a million chaps – will be definitely calling you when Derek is setting up his new venture!”
