Fergie’s ‘impeccable manners’ praised by Joan Collins amid latest Royal drama
Dame Joan Collins has revealed her close pal, The Duchess of York, gifted her and her husband Percy Gibson a copy of her book at their recent wedding anniversary party, adding that the kind royal has "perfect manners."
Speaking exclusively to OK! after their star-studded bash at Claridge's in London, acting legend Dame Joan gushed: "I've known Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, since she was 33. She sent me a copy of her book, in fact, which was great!"
The former Dynasty star, 88, added: "She’s wonderful. She has perfect manners."
The Duchess, ex wife of Prince Andrew, was making her first public appearance since Andrew settled his civil sex assault case with Virginia Roberts last month.

She was among 140 star guests who came to celebrate with Dame Joan and Percy as they marked two decades of marriage at the same hotel they wed in back in 2002.
There, Fergie happily chatted to fellow guests and smiled for the cameras and clearly delighted Joan with her generous gift. However, Dame Joan and Percy say they didn't actually expect anything from their A-list guests.
"It was very sweet that people were giving us gifts," said Percy. "It was surprising to me as it’s not like a wedding, so we weren’t expecting anything!"
But there's no doubt their famous attendees ensured the popular couple were spoilt rotten on their big night, which was covered exclusively by OK!.
A-listers such as Elizabeth Hurley and her son Damien, Duran Duran singer Simon LeBon and his model wife Yasmin and Simon Cowell and Lauren Silverman were in attendance, where they enjoyed a big band, a dance troupe and a three course meal of beef tenderloin followed by treacle tart and ice cream.
But showbiz icon Joan was quick to point out that none of the guests were there just because of their fame, they're all genuine friends of hers.
"No one was invited just for the value of having their photo taken," she insisted. "All of those people are our friends."

However, one famous face missing from the line-up was Piers Morgan, who has a home close to Joan and Percy in LA and regularly parties with the pair.
Joan explained his absence by telling us, "Piers was in LA, so he wasn’t able to come on this occasion."
