Gino D’Acampo is best known for leaving Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield in hysterics on This Morning as he presents cooking segments on the show. In a recent interview, This Morning chef Phil Vickery has since branded Gino a “glorified waiter” as he opened up on his fellow chefs on the morning show.

While talking of his off-screen relationships with Gino, Phil opened up on his power dynamic with the Italian chef.

Phil joked: “Gino is a glorified waiter, he’s not even a chef.

“No, we get on really well. He always calls me the master so he knows his place [laughs].”

While discussing the other This Morning chefs, Phil told Entertainment Daily he is not one for drama as he admitted he doesn’t “get involved”.

He continued: “James [Martin] I’ve worked with for years. John Torode, another good lad.

“I don’t get involved in that old stuff, I just do what I do.”

Gino has been a part of This Morning for more than a decade having made his first appearance on the popular morning show in 2006.

During his time on the series, Gino has become a fan favourite as often he leaves both the viewers as well as presenters Holly and Phillip laughing as he makes innuendos while cooking.

As such over the years, Gino has been part of many memorable moments on the programme.

Away from This Morning, Gino has tried his hand at presenting as he became the new host of Family Fortunes last year.

Talking of his role, Gino opened up on how the show was an opportunity for the nation to see a different side of him.

He explained to Radio Times: “It was extremely important for me to be able to do it as Gino D’Acampo, as myself.

“Because, otherwise, it would have been too hard for me to do it.”

Phil is also a popular chef on This Morning and has been on the show for more than two decades.

The chef recently admitted he has signed another year-long contract for the show.

Phil told Entertainment Daily: “Every year I get a contract is a bonus.

“I’ve just got one now, I’ve signed it today, another year.

“Everyone’s got a shelf life, I’ll go one day, but when I do I’ll shake their hands and I’ll say thank you, I’ve had a good run.”

Away from his role on This Morning, Phil is also known to many for featuring on cooking game show Ready Steady Cook.

On the series, he appeared alongside fellow chef Ainsley Harriott, with the show having since returned to our screens with Rylan Clark-Neal as the host.
