Gogglebox’s Ellie Warner explains object on Channel 4 show as fans mistake it for sex toy

Gogglebox star Ellie Warner was forced to explain a mystery object that featured on the show as fans mistook it for a sex toy.

The 31 year old, who appears on the Channel 4 series alongside her sister Izzi, 28, appeared to tap along to Rolling in the Deep during ITV's An Audience With Adele using an x-rated object on Friday 27 November.

Meanwhile fans took to Twitter to share their shock at the choice of instrument as one penned: "Had to look twice at what Ellie was holding on #Gogglebox just now…"

However Leeds native Ellie has clarified the mystery pink object as a dog toy for her three pups including Italian greyhounds Mick and Madge along with miniature dachshund Morris.

Holding the pink object on her Instagram Story to her 377,000 followers, Ellie penned: "Can't believe people thought this dog toy is sex toy.

"I had it on my lap as I was using it as drumstick to beat along to Rolling in the Deep but obvs that part didn't get shown. Sorry to spoil the fun."

Meanwhile the episode did show Ellie tapping on her coffee table to the 2011 hit by Adele as she got into the rhythm of the track.

The blonde beauty emphasised her point by tapping with the dog toy on her table during an Instagram Story to her fans.

It comes after fans of the show were left baffled after Jenny Newby revealed she likes to eat orange peel.

In the clip from Friday night’s show, best friends Jenny 65, and Lee, 52, are sat in their usual spots as Lee is peeling a tangerine.

Jenny turns to Lee and says: “I’ll have the skin.” Not impressed, Lee replies: “You’re not eating the skin."

Jenny quickly replies: “I like the skin, you know I do.”

Lee looks away while rolling his eyes and hands Jenny the skin and replied “thank you” just before she puts it in her mouth.

As she crunches through the orange peel she says: “I ate skin on the other one.”

Some viewers took to Twitter in shock at Jenny’s culinary choice.

One said: "No. It feels like eating a lemon peeler."

Another fan could see where she was coming from: "No, but I do eat lemon zest, so fair enough."
