Gregg Wallace, 56, is best known for presenting alongside John Torode on MasterChef. The host has now spoken out on his slimmed-down figure after losing four stone, revealing the warning he received from his doctor to change his ways.

In a new interview, Gregg spoke of the health difficulties he faced before his four stone weight loss.

He explained: ” I had enormous cholesterol.

“The doctor rang me seven years ago and said: ‘We’ve got to sort this out right now or you will have a massive coronary’.”

Talking of his transformation, Gregg added to the Mail Online: “I am pretty fit now, but my belly bloats.

“I am 12 stone and less than 18 per cent fat, but my belly bloats so everyone just thinks my diet is bad or I drink loads of beer. I don’t.”

The presenter’s admission comes after he previously spoke of his health woes before turning things around.

Talking to HELLO!, he explained: “I was scared because my doctor told me that if I didn’t change things I was going to die because my cholesterol was so high.”

Following his weight loss, he has since has taken to Instagram to show off his slimmed-down figure to his 125,000 followers.

In a post comparing two pictures of himself last month, he spoke of wanting to inspire others on his journey.

Gregg captioned the snap: “From this bloke to this bloke at 56.”

Inspiring his followers to join him on his fitness journey, he added: “You can do it too. I can show you. ShowMeFit @showmefit.”

Fans of the MasterChef star went on to comment under the post as they congratulated him on his progress.
