Holly Willoughby says ‘maybe it’s time to press pause’ in post about ‘new beginnings’
Presenter Holly Willoughby posted a cryptic message on Instagram, before making her return to This Morning.
Holly, 40, posted the message alongside a photo of the cover of her book, Reflections, Life Lessons on Finding Beauty – Inside and Out.
The mum-of-three wrote on the snap: “New year… new beginnings… maybe it’s time to press pause, jump of the treadmill, stop running and hiding and sit with yourself.
“You are your one constant… get to know who you really are, what you like, what your passions are.”
Celeb pal Keith Lemon responded with this usual humour, writing: “I haven’t a clue who I am or what I’m doing????”
Fans soon commented with how much they are enjoying the book.
“Thank you for making me realise that focusing on myself is just exactly what I need”, said one fan.
Another added: “As I read I can relate to so many elements. Thank you for providing a new view point on Guilt & Anger.”
A third commented: “Thank you for the beautiful words. So inspiring! I feel like I’m starting the new year on the right foot and in a wonderful headspace thanks to your gorgeous book.”
Holly, who returned to This Morning with Philip Schofield today, Monday 10 January, will reportedly be taking another break from the sofa soon as it's said she's been given time off to work for the BBC, co-hosting Vim Hof’s Superstar Survival alongside comedian Lee Mack.
It’s a busy schedule, as Holly will be flying to Southern Europe on 17 January and heading back to the UK at the weekends to host Dancing on Ice with Philip.
It’s not the first time Holly has spread her wings to take on work without Philip by her side.
In 2018 she co-hosted I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here alongside Declan Donnelly after Ant McPartlin took a break to recover from alcohol and substance addiction.
A source told The Sun: “Holly loved I’m a Celeb so much it gave her the confidence to strike out on her own and do more mainstream solo TV projects.
“Holly did an excellent job filling in for Ant and was one of the highlights of the show that year.
“She has high career ambitions and is starting the year as she means to go on.
“However, she absolutely loves This Morning and her on-screen partnership with Phillip, so isn’t going anywhere long-term. She’s just grateful ITV bosses are giving her the freedom to do her own projects.”
It comes after Holly was seen getting into the spirit of winter sports with an Instagram video of her sledging down a snowy hill with the caption: "Prepping for an icy January… I’m ready for you."
