Homes Under the Hammer: Lucy Alexander branded an ‘ANIMAL’ after strange revelation
The former Homes Under the Hammer presenter, 48, replied to a tweet from comedian Alan Carr, 42, to join in with a conversation about sweet treats. “Can’t believe people don’t know about French Fancies?” he told his five million Twitter followers. “They are bright square cake that taste synthetic with a little nipple on the top full of cream.” Lucy Alexander chipped in: “Omg pure heaven – can eat a whole one in the mouth in one go.”(sic)
“You’re an animal!” Alan exclaimed, adding a laughing emoji.
“Only way to get the full effect lol,”(sic) Lucy joked.
However, one fan chimed in to make a surprising comment, saying: “I used to work for a bakery and know how these are made, on an industrial scale. I have not eaten one since (1972).”
Clearly shocked, Lucy simply replied with a surprised open-mouthed emoji.
Other Twitter users were more in agreement with the presenter, with one tweeting: “I can eat a full packet in one go.”
“I love the lemon ones,” another said, while a third told Lucy: “An excellent talent to have. Slap it into your CV.”
The TV star is best known for her stint on BBC property programme Homes Under the Hammer.
She fronted the series for 13 years, from 2003 until her departure in 2016.
The mother-of-two previously opened up about quitting the show in an exclusive interview with Express.co.uk, revealing the real reason she left.
“[The decision to leave] wasn’t taken lightly,” she said. “And it was noting to do with anything other than I’ve given the BBC 14 years.
“I just felt was the right time for me to go and do some other things.”
She also explained how she had been busy with work for other channels since quitting, saying: “I got offered lots of other jobs on Channel 4 and I literally have had a crazy year after leaving.
“I moved on and I did four different TV shows for Channel 4. It was just a time in my life that I was really ready to do that.”
This week, Homes Under the Hammer star Lucy Alexander was fondled by her friend Tamzin Outhwaite, 48, in a cheeky video which she shared on Instagram.
The clips showed the pair enjoying a day out in London together.
While Lucy tried to address the camera, Tamzin rubbed her pal’s chest, before asking: “Are you live?”
“Yes, live!” Lucy exclaimed, prompting Tamzin to give her breasts a quick squeeze before they burst into laughter.
Homes Under the Hammer airs weekdays at 10am on BBC One.
