Jax Taylor denied wedding spin-off
Don’t expect a wedding by Bravo.
Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright will not be receiving a spin-off or special based around their Kentucky-based nuptials this summer, an insider close to the show told Page Six on Wednesday.
“Jax had asked for a spin-off, but Bravo would rather have their wedding be a part of ‘Vanderpump Rules,’” the insider said. “It makes more sense for it to be part of the show since he’s on it already.”
Taylor, 39, revealed on “The Bitch Bible” podcast he had asked the network for a spin-off similar to “Vanderpump Rules: Jax and Brittany Take Kentucky,” but executives weren’t on board. He’s now wary to film the nuptials after attending Scheana Marie’s wedding to Mike Shay during the show’s third season in 2014.
“I just want to make sure I’m in full control of my wedding,” he told Jackie Schimmel. “I’ve gone to a wedding on our show — the very first one actually — Scheana’s wedding which was very lovely but I felt it was a little bit controlled by the show … it was a little bit produced.”
He then clarified that he felt that was the only thing manufactured for the show, and admitted that “Vanderpump Rules” wouldn’t be footing the bill for his three-day affair.
The reality star proposed to Cartwright, 30, in front of the show’s cameras in June. Their wedding will take place in summer 2019 at the Kentucky Castle in Versailles, Ky.
Cartwright previously told Andy Cohen that they wouldn’t be signing a prenup.
Bravo declined to comment.
