Josh Duggar At War With Hometown Officials Over Sex Molestation Privacy Lawsuit

Josh Duggar is once again at war with officials in his home state of Arkansas. can exclusively report that the ex-reality star has begged a judge to reopen his privacy lawsuit against the city of Springdale and Washington County after it was closed months ago!

New documents obtained by Radar showed that Josh is desperate to reopen the case where he claimed Arkansas authorities illegally released documents alleging he sexually molested four of his sisters and another female minor in the early 2000s. A judge ruled Josh’s case “closed” in November 2018 after he failed to file a timely response to the city’s motion for judgment on the pleadings.

Now, Radar has learned that Michelle and Jim Bob’s oldest child is fighting back. In early December 2018, Josh, 30, filed a motion to get the case reopened because, he claimed, he did not have a legal obligation to respond to the city’s motion. Plus, the disgraced Duggar son said he was not “granted the process of a preliminary hearing” the first time around.

Additionally in the court filings, Josh claimed his complaint was “dismissed with prejudice without the Court having determined that Plaintiff’s pleadings, given all reasonable inferences, were insufficient to establish a claim upon which relief could be granted.”

Unfortunately for Josh, the Arkansas officials he’s battling in court fought back even harder. On December 20, 2018, the city of Springdale claimed Josh still failed to “file any response” months ago, and that he failed to “request such a hearing.”

Adding fuel to the fire, Washington County doubled down on the city of Springdale’s claims. The county alleged it appeared Josh believed he had a right to molest minors in his home years ago.

“The Plaintiff apparently asserts that he has a constitutional and/or common law right to privately molest young girls and sues the Defendants for disclosing redacted reports of his molestation of his then-juvenile sisters and at least one other juvenile female,” Washington County responded.

The county officials further described Josh’s latest filing as “nonsensical.”

Both the city of Springdale and Washington County requested the judge dismiss the ex-TLC star’s motion to reopen the case in its entirety.

As Radar readers know, the sex molestation scandal caused Josh to lose his Washington D.C. job. It also led to the cancellation of the Duggars’ reality show, 19 Kids and Counting.

Two of Josh’s younger sisters, Jill and Jessa, admitted they were victimized by their brother on Megyn Kelly when the news broke in 2015.
