Kate Beckinsale has only had five fellas as she goes public with Pete Davidson
When it comes to her love life, Kate Beckinsale has revealed she’s only ever had a handful of boyfriends… literally.
Because you can count them on four fingers and a thumb.
The 45-year-old actress – pictured kissing toyboy Pete Davidson, 25, at an ice hockey match last week – reckons she’s “relatively new” to the dating game after having only FIVE boyfriends in her life. She spilled the beans during a promotion for her new ITV drama series, The Widow.
A source said: “People were asking her about her love life and about Pete and she wouldn’t answer – but she was happy to elaborate on her dating past. She swears she’s only had five boyfriends in her life.”
After an eight-year romance with actor Michael Sheen and a 12-year marriage to movie director Len Wiseman, Kate is now dating Ariana Grande ’s ex and NBC’s Saturday Night Live comedian Pete.
Before meeting Pete, she was linked to British comic Jack Whitehall. The pair were spotted getting amorous on a night out.
And another comedian, Matt Rife, who dated Kate Beckinsale in 2017, had one word for her new man, Pete: “Run.”
Rife, 23, told the TMZ website he dated Kate for a year when she was 43 and he was 21, and that the relationship was “complicated, for sure” adding that there were “a lot of ups and downs”.
The MTV star did not disclose why things didn’t work out between them, but said he was optimistic the outcome would be better for Pete.
“I’m hoping they are getting out of it whatever they want to get out of it,” Rife said. “Enjoy it while you can. I hope they’re both happy and it can build to an established good relationship.”
But he added: “I don’t really have any solid advice – just be careful.” Asked whether he would ever rekindle a romance with Kate, Rife said: “Not a chance.”
Pearl Harbour actress Kate has a daughter with Sheen, 50, and they have remained close friends.
She once said: “He’s really dear, close family. He’s someone I’ve known since I was 21. I love him a lot.”
