Loose Women’s Saira Khan, 53, strips to bikini and tells women to look at themselves ‘positively’

Former Loose Women star Saira Khan has shown off her "unfiltered" body to encourage women to look at themselves more "positively."

The 53-year-old posed in a bikini, in sunny Lisbon, with no makeup on embracing her "marks, scars, wrinkles and aging."

Saira posted the stunning picture to her 102,000 followers on Instagram, in the hopes of sending a message of body positivity.

She also marked the relaunch of her skin care brand SAIRA skin which aims to help women embrace their natural beauty and build confidence.

Posting to Instagram, Saira said: "Women: unstoppable forces of strength, beauty, and resilience. That’s how I define women because that’s what we are.

"Today is a special day as my business SAIRA skin was reborn and it’s sole purpose is to give women the best start to the day where they wake up, look in the mirror, embrace their natural skin and connect with it by putting their hands on it and nourishing it with organic oil based products.

"My products do not 'hide' 'conceal' or 'camouflage' instead they 'embrace' 'nourish' 'soothe' 'soften.'

"We embrace marks, scars, wrinkles and aging – these things do not define who we are as women – so we need to look past them and focus on looking after ourselves positively, regularly and making the time to do it.

"With a regular skincare routine with active rich ingredients we can glow, radiate and elevate our skin to not only look it’s best, but also to function better and keep us feeling comfortable in it.

"We at SAIRA skin want women To Own all aspects of their lives, from owning their worth, confidence, esteem and self respect.

"We want women to be in any environment and proudly say, 'This is me: unfiltered, confident, real.'

"I’m so excited for this new direction for my business, working with a team of incredible women who have one goal – to empower women to own their real."

Over the last week, Saira has been posting updates on her social media from a solo trip away without her husband and children.

She has been in Lisbon enjoying a health retreat, focusing on herself and recharging her batteries.

Saira told her fans that she's thankful to have a supportive family who recognise her need for a break, she said: "I find peace travelling alone, it helps me to reflect, connect and appreciate. As a working mum, life can pull mums like us in all directions – sometimes it’s nice to just walk away , leave it all behind and say “ see you later”.

"Yes I am lucky, I have a supportive husband, I can afford it – but also please know that escaping it all could just be a day out for yourself, doing what you love – it doesn’t have to be so extravagant!

"Now in my 50’s, I do cherish that “me time”. I’m selfish about it, I fight for it and I make it happen – because I need it in order to rejuvenate myself to be there for everyone else.

"Make the time, be confident in doing things by yourself and make it happen."
