Paolo Nutini wows pub-goers with surprise karaoke performance
Paolo Nutini dropped into a pub in his Scottish hometown and wowed punters with a star turn on the karaoke machine.
The crooner, 32, stopped by Harvies Bar in Paisley on Saturday night and treated revellers to a rendition of Frank Sinatra classic I’ve Got You Under My Skin.
As excited pub-goers watched on, the Last Request singer belted out the tune in front of the cheering crowd.
Smiling as he sang out the 1953 classic, Paolo even posed for pictures with regulars mid-performance.
A sea of camera phones can also be seen as people capture the amazing surprise show.
Paolo Nutini shot to fame in 2006 when his album These Streets – including singles Jenny Don’t Be Hasty and New Shoes – peaked at number 3 in the UK charts.
Since then, the star has gone on to become one of Scotland’s most recognised and best-loved artists, topping the bill at festivals like T in the Park and Glastonbury.
However, he’s been out of the spotlight in recent years and hasn’t released any new music since his 2014 album Caustic Love.
In 2017, Paolo was dramatically cleared of drink-driving after being accused of being behind the wheel while twice the legal limit.
The New Shoes singer was accused of driving his grey Mini Cooper after drinking vodka soda and lime on a night out with friends.
But he was cleared of the offence following a two-day trial.
Paolo said of the incident: “Now I’ll definitely not be making my own estimation about whether or not I was okay or not to drive.
“That’s what I take from this experience.
“I was stupid and I was wrong. As soon as I was sat in the police car, I knew that was the case.”
