Real reason Dani Dyer dumped Jack Fincham as she blasts him for ‘talking s**t’
Dani Dyer and Jack Fincham may have been the nation’s sweethearts when they won Love Island 2018 this summer – but just a few short weeks later, their declarations of everlasting love were over.
The reality stars split after reports of months of arguments following them moving in together to a plush rented apartment in London.
Dani confirmed the split on Instagram , writing: "Jack & I have sadly decided to part ways. It’s been an incredible 6 months, and we will always have a place in our hearts for each other, but sadly we’ve come to the realisation that it’s not meant to be long term.
"We both plan to stay friends. I hope you’ll all understand. Love Dani x."
But in an interview done before their split, Dani hinted at the tension in their relationship as she blasted Jack for "talking s**t" about their sex life.
He’d given quotes last month admitting their first time between the sheets "wasn’t a great performance" but bragged that they’d got better since.
"To be fair, we love it now. It’s amazing, if you want the truth," he said at the time.
But Dani was furious at his seedy confession, telling You magazine in an interview published today: "He was talking s**t.
"People seem to want to know what we are getting up to of a night-time but this is our life, not some sort of sex-education class," she fumed.
Dani, who famously refused to have sex in the Love Island villa out of respect for her family watching at home, also said her naked body was for Jack’s enjoyment alone.
"No, [I’d never post] nothing nudey, no bits hanging out. That’s for Jack. And my own sanity," she added.
Despite rumours that their relationship had been torn apart by frequent arguments, Dani also admitted Jack was The One just before their split.
"There wasn’t anyone fit to tie his bootlaces on Love Island," she gushed.
But she did admit the pressure to be loved-up in the villa was nothing compared to what they got back home.
"Imagine if your mate moved in with someone after dating for five months. You’d say, ‘Are you insane?’ but I feel like we’ve been together for years," she told You.
"People said Love Island was testing, but it was a bubble. Coming out, that was the real test."
The pair are still set to co-present the National Television Awards as social media hosts, despite fans’ fears it’ll make for an awkward evening.
And they’ll appear in two upcoming spinoff shows – the Love Island Christmas special, plus their own reality series Jack And Dani: Life After Love Island, which will document their blazing rows as well as the more smushy moments in their six-month romance.
