Berluti Presents a Contemporary Home Collection Inspired by Its Rich History

For Berluti, the brand is not just clothes and shoes, but a full-fledged lifestyle. As such, the Parisian house has designed a new contemporary home collection that is deeply rooted in the brand’s history.

Furniture has been a part of the Berluti house when Talbinio Berluti, grandson of founder Alessandro Berluti, crafted the Club Chair in the ’60s, which was meant to optimize the shoe fitting process. Constructed from Venezia leather, the chair became a staple in Berluti stores and thus birthed the brand’s expansion into furniture. This history inspired the new home collection from Berluti which focuses on contemporary design. The collection includes two lines, Marbeuf and Swann.

The Marbeuf line pays homage to the first Berluti Club Clairs featuring an updated spacious design. The chair’s straight lines are a nod to its contemporary nature, while it also features supple pecan brown leather. The chair’s design also utilizes the same no-stitching principle of the Alessandro shoe. The revitalized chair also comes in a gray variation with pecan brown leather accents. The chairs exposed legs are also made from wood. The Marbeuf line will also include a matching desk and office chair that will be available at a later date.

The elegant versatility of the Swann line is intended for shared living spaces. What carries this line are its aerial and contemporary features that fuse into a number of designs and materials. The salon chair mixes Venezia leather and wood with cashmere or wool, while the ottoman, loveseat and sofa can be upholstered in Tiepolo wool or a soft Sherpas cashmere. Additionally, the line includes a console, two coffee tables and a side table, which utilize Italian marble and Venezia leather.

Both lines offer extended personalization through several fabrics, colors, patinas and Scritto-embossed details. Personalization is furthered through a selection of natural or dyed wood essences in black or brown.

Berluti’s new home collection is available by special order only.
