Drôle de Monsieur Plays With French Nostalgia For FW21 Campaign

Drôle de Monsieur has unveiled its campaign for Fall/Winter 2021 in which the label plays with French nostalgia and pays homage to life amidst mountain chalets.

First showcased with a lookbook earlier this year, FW21 is inspired by 1972, a year that saw France put winter holidays on the calendar. From ski slopes and chalets to more modest getaways out of the city, all bore a warming common theme that has seen them become a mainstay to this day.

Paying homage to this time and the eras that have come since, co-founders Maxime Schwab and Dany Dos Santos have played with nostalgic pieces, patterns and colors and updated them with modern fabrics and tweaks.

Knitwear, fleece and sherpa offer cozy protection from the often-harsh winter conditions, while corduroy, cognac leather and tweed provide vital laters, all of which boast a pleasing color palette inspired by the beauty of the mountains and snow-covered forests.
