Ed Sheeran crashes fan's wedding and it was 'magical'
An unsuspecting couple was treated to a very special performance at their wedding by none other than Ed Sheeran himself.
The A-Team singer ‘crashed’ their intimate ceremony with a live acoustic rendition of his new song Magical, which is sure to be a wedding staple.
Sheeran was in Las Vegas for a show which he ultimately had to cancel, so had some spare time to crash the wedding at one of the city’s chapels.
The romantic ballad is set to appear on his upcoming album but the unnamed lovebirds were the first to have it played at their nuptials.
Posting a video of their big day on Instagram, revealing the song for the first time, Ed wrote: ‘Crashed a wedding, this is Magical x,’
‘As you continue to walk down the – well,’ a wedding official can be heard saying as a gasp was let out as guests spotted Ed.
The couple were at the end of the aisle, saying their vows when the 32-year-old entered their venue, guitar in hand.
Jaws dropped as the Thinking Out Loud singer, accompanied by backing singers, played the brand-new track.
‘Is this how it feels to be in love, this is magical,’ sang Ed to the starstruck couple as the bride mouthed ‘oh my god’.
Applause broke out as the Grammy Award winner hugged the couple, who thanked him and then sealed their vows with a kiss.
‘We can still get a picture with him right?’ joked the groom once they had walked down the aisle together.
The cameraman confirmed they would have a chance to pose with the star, as Ed appeared again to greet the lucky fans.
He didn’t stop by just to play them his song though, he also signed their official marriage certificate as the witness.
‘I’m really excited to be your witness,’ he said as he signed, with the couple still in disbelief.
Ed himself tied the knot in 2019 to Cherry Seaborn, a childhood friend who he began dating four years earlier.
Together the couple have two daughters; Lyra Antarctica, three, and Jupiter, 16 months.
