Gewa and Rimowa Collaborate for Special-Edition Violin Case

Having introduced a number of novelty carrying cases such as a 12-Bottle Wine case with LeBron James and various watch cases, Rimowa now returns with one of its most distinct travel tools yet, a special-edition Violin Case in Silver.

For the endeavour, Rimowa taps fellow heritage German brand GEWA to help contruct the case’s interiors, integrating GEWA’s neck pad system with the case’s hand-finished microfiber interior. Exteriors, meanwhile, arrive in Rimowa’s classic grooved aluminium finish with two TSA-approved locks and a shioulder strap.

In celebration of the release, Rimowa teams up with French soloist, chamber musician, and fiend of the brand Renaud Capuçon. While Capuçon made his trip to New York City for a major performance, the Rimowa x Gewa Violin Case Silver is shown to be a trusty companion, carrying and protecting his prized “Panette Stern,” a prolific violin built by Guarneri ‘del Gesù that dates back to 1737,

The Gewa x Rimowa Violin Case Silver will be availble at select Rimowa stores on March 23 in very limited quantities.
