Krispy Kreme Is Celebrating the Strawberry Supermoon With a Limited Donut

Following the successful release of the Mars Donut, Krispy Kreme is back with another limited donut.

Celebrating the upcoming “Strawberry Moon,” the final supermoon of the year, the donut relishes in the whimsical name by taking its name literally. The “Strawberry Supermoon Doughnut” features strawberry Kreme, strawberries and Kreme icing, and a light dusting of graham cracker “moon dust.”

“What better way to celebrate the Strawberry Supermoon than by enjoying it with a new Krispy Kreme doughnut that looks like, well, a Strawberry Supermoon?” said Dave Skena, Chief Marketing Officer for Krispy Kreme. “But don’t want to wait ‘til the moon rises Thursday to get this doughnut; our Mars Doughnuts went fast!” The upcoming supermoon gets its name as it will be occurring during the harvesting season for strawberries in the Northeastern United States. Fans can expect the pink donut to drop this Thursday, June 24 at participating shops across the U.S. Head over to Krispy Kreme for more info.
