NEEDLES Splashes Track Suits With Summery Tie-Dye

NEEDLES drops resist pigeonholing, as the NEPENTHES sub-label continually remixes its staple garments with adventurous patterns and dynamic cuts that shift every year. Spring/Summer 2021 swaps last year’s paint splatters for vivid tie-dyed prints, taking the Japanese brand’s hippie inspiration to new heights with some transformed track gear.

One of NEEDLES’ signature styles, its creased track pants have been remixed by peers and been translated to various accessories over the past few years. However, they’ve never received the tie-dye treatment, though NEEDLES’ 7-cut layering pieces have explored similarly explosive dyes.

All styles of NEEDLES track pants are on hand, including the regular, slim and boot-cut fits, plus the enormous H.D. variant, accompanied by a matching jacket and “Bermuda” hat, all of which are realized in either greenish or purplish hues. Their side stripes are rendered a little darker to boost contrast and their lightweight polyester shells are more breathable than the thicker winterized iterations. The easygoing ethos is further underscored by the usual elastic waists and drawstring closures, making them well-suited to strolling in the park or relaxing by the pool.

All of the printed NEEDLES garments go live on NEPENTHES’s website and stores on April 29.
