Bloke complains to Bumble when app breaks… then is mortified when he realises the real reason he’s getting no matches
THE world of online dating is absolutely brutal – which is why we can easily spend hours agonising over every detail in our bio and picking a selection of fun, cute and approachable pics.
One person who knows a little something about this is Jade Lily's boyfriend Niko.
Before he was in a relationship, the LA-based singleton decided to join Bumble on his friends' recommendation in 2016.
Once he was happy with his profile, Niko officially set it live and was hoping to at least just a few matches.
But one day later, he still hadn't connected with anyone on the app – so started to swipe right on everyone he came across just to test it out.
And when that didn't work, Niko decided to flag the "glitch" to Bumble.
In a viral TikTok video, Jess shared the very polite email her boyfriend wrote to the dating app asking for some help.
It read: "I have recently been active on your Bumble app and I am concerned there is a glitch with my profile.
"Today I've been swiping right on EVERY person and I did not match with a single person. Not one.
"And don't get me wrong, I'm not gloating about my looks but I should be getting at least one match."

Referencing how his mates' success, Niko continued: "I mean my friend Peter looks like that one guy from the Goonies and he's getting more matches than me!"
He then ended the email by asking Bumble to look into his profile to see if it was broken somehow.
However, Niko was left mortified when a member of the Bumble feedback team told him there was nothing wrong – before advising him to pick better photos.
Their response read: "I've had a look at your profile and according to our information, it's working correctly.
"Please remember that the more you play the game, the more chance you will have to find a match!
"Don't forget that you can add up to six photos to your profile and having more photos will increase your chances of receiving right-swipes.
"We can also let you into a little secret – higher-quality photos always perform better."
Unsurprisingly, the hilarious email exchange racked up over 73,000 "likes" on TikTok – and people were amazed this "polite rare breed" didn't get any matches.
In a follow-up video, Jess shared a clip of her boyfriend and asked viewers if they thought it was glitch or not.
One replied: "If he wasn't getting matches, there's no hope for me."
"Definitely a glitch," another added. "Or maybe the universe was just keeping him single until he met you."
Meanwhile, a third pondered: "Maybe he got shadow-banned [from over-use]."
