Cleaning fanatics are using ‘secret’ fragrance bags to make their homes smell amazing
IF money were no object, we'd constantly have candles burning to keep our homes smelling heavenly – but not only is this a huge fire hazard, it's also a very expensive habit to keep up.
That said, one savvy mum has revealed how she scents her home with "secret" fragrance bags – and it couldn't be easier to do.
Sharing her hack on TikTok, the American mum started by pouring some fragrance booster beads into a sandwich bag and then gently crushing them up.
She explained: "I put it in a big Ziplock bag and hammered it out to release the fragrance."
After this, the mum used a funnel to pour the crushed beads into a small bag which she then dotted around the house.
The mum continued: "I put one behind my couch. One under my car seat.
"I put one in my pyjama drawer and in my linen closet."
And the mum didn't stop there – she even placed the mini scented bags in her kids' sock drawer and their trainers too. Genius.
Although the American mum's Method fragrance boosters aren't currently available in the UK, any supermarket's own brand will do.
The clip has racked up over 245,000 "likes" on TikTok and other users started sharing their own tips.
One replied: "I dump these in my Dyson canister. Every time I hoover, it smells amazing!"
Another added: "Glass salt shakers work better for the car – it melts in the heat and conveniently fits in the cup holder!"
A third suggested: "Put the beads in a spray bottle with hot water and like two tablespoons of baking soda."
