I'm a fashion fan & couldn't believe it when my PLT trousers arrived, they're the length of my ENTIRE body | The Sun

WE all know that feeling of excitedly waiting for new clothes, only for them not to fit once they arrive.

Well, this happened to Sophie Pelham, 28, from Essex, who ordered a pair of cargo wide leg trousers from PrettyLittleThing.

With the website stating that the model in the product photographs was 5’5”, 5ft 3 Sophie ordered a pair thinking they’d likely fit her fine.

However, on the item’s arrival, she quickly realised that this was certainly not the case.

Speaking exclusively to Fabulous, Sophie says: “Either I'm shrinking or PLT is way off. I'm 5ft 3 and these are literally the length of my whole body.”

Continuing, the fashion fan adds: “I regularly order from PLT Shape at 5ft 3 I find the fit is usually great, I've got tons of cargos from PLT before and was shocked when I opened these.

"It's like if two of me got in them they’d still be too long.

Sophie says she triple-checked that she hadn’t accidentally ordered from PLT Tall, but this turned out to not be the case, causing further confusion.

“If that model is 5ft 5 I am 6ft 2” joked Sophie.

One the PrettyLittleThing website the measurements read that the trousers are approximately “86.5cm/34" (Based on a sample size UK 8).”

While Sophie’s shock at these huge trousers is understandable, she’s certainly not the only person who has had an online shopping disaster.

TikToker Laura Saddington ordered a bikini set from Club London, but found that the bottoms left her looking like she was a nappy – perhaps not the best look for the beach.

A second TikToker ordered a SKIMS bodysuit, which she ended up having to quickly take off as it was cutting off her circulation.

And Sophie isn’t the only person to have been caught out by PrettyLittleThing’s somewhat inconsistent sizing.

TikTok user Hollie Stubbings ordered a white top from the fashion website, and even though she’d sized up, knowing full well that their sizes run small sometimes, the top still wouldn’t fit her.
