Mum slammed for turning her kitchen into a BEACH in most lavish Elf on the Shelf prank ever

WHEN it comes to Elf on the Shelf, some parents have got their ideas down to a ‘T’.

But how far is too far?

Well, one mum was slammed for turning her entire kitchen into a beach in the most ‘lavish prank ever.’

Sam Grace, who goes by the name of samgrace_22 on TikTok shared a video to her 53k followers of her transforming her kitchen, and captioned it ‘Beach day’.

The mum, from Middlesbrough, who has an all-white kitchen, firstly laid what appeared to be polystyrene mat down covering the floor and bottom of her cupboards.

As she films herself taping the mat to the side of the cupboard she writes: “First protect the floor because I’m sensible like that.”

Once that is done, she then opens up three big bags of sand and empties them, and spreads it across her kitchen floor.

Sam then adds the buckets and spades, whilst also creating sandcastles.

However the video, which has been viewed over 255k times, has created a big debate in the comments section.

Many questioned: “But why?”

And others just simply saying: “Madness”

One even added: “Desperate times.”

But some were quick to defend Sam, with one writing: “Making core memories right there the mess doesn’t matter.”

Another wrote: “This is awesome!! This is what it's all about. Doing what you and your kids will love not what society thinks!! Go girl!! I want to build a sandcastle.”

A third added: “Your dedication to that elf is unbelievable.”
