Recreate your favourite Oscars faces from Emma Stone's rock 'n' roll to J-Lo's elegant glow and Olivia Colman's classy warmth

Stylists made sure no hair was out of place for Brit Oscar-winner Olivia Colman and the other leading ladies as they toasted their achievements at the Los Angeles awards bash.

And their glam red-carpet looks make for perfect wedding guest make-up, too. From sassy silver hues to daring smoky eyes, recreating your favourite Oscar faces is easier than you think.

Celebrity make-up artist Lisa Sloneem picks four famous actresses and shows you how to get their look in just three simple steps.

Emma Stone, 30

Rock 'n' Rolling Stone

Redhead Emma went for a glam rock look as she matched her copper eye make-up to her hair. Going heavy on the eye shadow, the La La Land actress stayed in the spotlight.

Step one: Using a metric copper eyeshadow, apply colour over lid then create a winged effect using an angled brush, extending the shade out to either side of the eye.

Try: MAC pigment in Copper Sparkle, £10, ASOS.

Step Two Add glow to the tops of your cheeks with a highlight.

Using a highlighting stick, start at the top of the cheekbone and draw diagonally upwards. Using your fingers, blend in.

Try: Glossier Haloscope in Quartz, £18,

Step three: Finish this look with a metallic gloss. Apply directly to lips and purse together to even pout.

Try: Fenty Glow Gloss Bomb, £16, Sephora.

Lady Gaga, 32

Star of the Silver Screen

It wasn’t just her award that was shining on the red carpet – Gaga opted for glistening metallics on her face, too.

The Oscar winner channelled a mix of Audrey Hepburn and Marilyn Monroe for this classic, high-glamour look complete with stunning silver eyeliner.

Step One: Get Lady Gaga’s big Fifties brows with a liquid eyebrow pen.

Draw hair-like strokes from the inside of the brow through to the end to create the appearance of bigger, bushier eyebrows.

Try: Suqqu Liquid Eyebrow Pen in shade 04, £18,

Step two: To achieve a silver eye with a Gaga edge, start with a silver-white shadow across the lid. Then, using an icy blue liner, draw a thin blue line just above the lash line.

Try: Bourjois Contour Clubbing Waterproof in Denim Pulse, £4.99, Boots.

Step three: For a soft lip, opt for a pale pink tinted gloss and apply with a flat lip brush.
Try: Rimmel Oh My Gloss, £4.01,

Olivia Coleman, 45

Fit for Queen Coleman

She is the woman of the moment after winning the Best Actress gong – and Olivia also wowed us with her classy look.

Simple touches of warmth to cheeks and lips can transform a face as the British star became one of The Favourite looks of the night.

Step one: Apply a mid-brown creme eye shadow directly to the lid and very lightly under the eye as liner. Blend with a brush for a soft, smoky finish.

Try: Laura Mercier, Caviar Stick in Coco, £24.

Step two: Using a creme blush in a warm rosy shade, apply using fingertips to the apples of cheeks and up on to the cheekbone. Blend with fingers.

To add sheen, use a small amount of balm, such as Vaseline, to the top of the cheekbone.
Try: Stila Convertible Colour in Camellia, £18.

Step three: Olivia has gone for a berry lip stain to give a warm, natural appearance.

Use a matte lip stain for long-lasting finish and apply with a flat-lip brush over top and bottom lips.

Try: Benefit Benetint lip stain, £25.

Jennifer Lopez, 49

Go with J-Lo's Glow

It is hard to believe Jennifer is 50 this year as she could easily pass for much younger, especially with the help of this youthful look.

With glowing cheeks and smoky eyes, J-Lo’s seductive style makes her the red carpet’s sexy siren.

Step one: More is more with Jennifer’s look. Start with the eyes, use a pale gold shadow on the lid and brow bone as a highlight. Then define the outer corners and sockets with a dark burgundy shadow. Finish with a black liner on the lid and lashings of mascara.

Try: MAC eyeshadow in Sketch, £14, Debenhams.

Step two: To get that glowing face, apply a strong bronzer as a blush to the contours of your cheeks, then highlight with a shimmer powder on the cheekbones, nose and above the brows.

Try: Bare Minerals Invisible Glow Powder High-lighter, £25, John Lewis.

Step three: Don’t hold back – apply a pale nude gloss all over the lips. To go full J-Lo, overline your lips using a slightly darker pencil than your gloss.
Try: Diego Dalla Palma Lip Pencil in Antique Pink, £14.50,
