A SAVVY woman has revealed her "life hack" for how to cool your home in a heatwave – and TikTok users are amazed.

If you’ve opened all your windows in an attempt to cool your home down during these blistering summer temperatures, you might want to think again.

Rosaline Webb, a 28-year-old silversmith from West Yorkshire, has shared her simple tip for keeping temperatures down at home on TikTok.

And with temperatures set to reach highs of 40 degrees across the UK today, it seems her handy hack has come just in time.

Rosaline says the trick is not to open all your windows – but only to open specific ones.

“Struggling in a heatwave? This life hack will help,” Rosaline wrote in the video’s caption.

She has been using it to keep her and her parents, who she lives with, cool ever since.

Rosaline said: “It does truly work, regardless of what people say.

“I should also point out that the side of my house that faces north receives no direct sunlight whatsoever because of the surrounding houses, so on that side, the house is always cooler.”

Rosaline’s video has received over 416,000 views and a whopping 8,500 likes – with many eager to share their own cooling advice.
