Baker shares simple recipe for three-ingredient Biscoff cheesecake truffles
Walla Abu-Eid is a self-taught baker who comes up with simple recipes.
It’s helped her gain over 100,000 followers on Instagram.
And her latest recipe is something they all seem to love – Biscoff cheesecake truffles.
And the best thing is that you need just three ingredients – Biscoff biscuits, spread and then some cream cheese.
The 31-year-old mum and teacher explains how she starts by crushing 32 biscuits and then adding three tablespoons of cream cheese and three tablespoons of the Biscoff spread.
She then rolls the mixture into balls and dips in biscuit crumbs to create a crispy coating.
She advises that the truffles could also be coated in coconut, dipped in chocolate or salted caramel or drizzled in Biscoff spread melted in the microwave for 30 seconds.
Of course you could mix up the coatings to try them all, making a great gift or just a treat for you to enjoy yourself.
Her followers said they were excited to make the truffles at home.
One said: ‘These look amazing.’
Another added: ‘So yummy.’
It’s not the first time Walla has created something special with the caramel spiced biscuits.
In May she revealed the Biscoff Lasagne – layers of biscuits, cream, vanilla and Lotus spread, all served up in a glass dish to remind you of the savoury Italian classic.
Her no-bake fridge cake was also a huge hit with new bakers during lockdown as it involves minimum effort and just a few ingredients.
Once you’ve mixed everything together, it sets in the fridge and then you can slice it.
