KFC reopening: Fast food chain confirms 100 branches opening next week – full list here
KFC revealed just last week that it was planning to reopen a small number of its stores, with an initial list of 21 locations open for delivery only. The fast food chain had to close its shops due to the coronavirus but is slowly but surely reopening across the country to serve its customers and get back to business. The good news was announced on its website.

The latest update informed customers that more openings are just around the corner.
“Update from The Colonel. By Monday May 4th we’ll have reopened 100 of our restaurants in the UK for delivery,” the statement read. “We’re reopening our restaurants in a responsible way, with stringent processes and hygiene measures in place.
“We’ll be serving a limited menu to help the smaller kitchen teams maintain social distancing.”
KFC fans were delighted just last week when the chain revealed it was opening a select number of restaurants for delivery only, using Deliveroo, Just Eat and Uber Eats to get its food into customers’ hands.
The brand is also helping key workers by donating food to its local heroes.
The statement continued: “Opening these restaurants will mean that we can continue donating food to NHS and key workers – we’ll be delivering 10,000 meals a week from these restaurants in partnership with Deliveroo.”
Chicken lovers can head onto the website to find a KFC near them that’s open for food delivery.
The list of the new reopenings has not yet been revealed but the additional stores should be up and running by Monday 4th May.

The chicken chain first announced it was reopening some of its stores on the 16th April, having closed in March in a decision that it said “wasn’t taken lightly”.
The brand started by opening just eleven locations, and assured the public that they were playing it safe with strict measures for their kitchens.
Writing on its website, the brand said: “To do this in the right way, we’ve put new processes in place and stepped up our already stringent hygiene measures. We’re serving a limited menu, which means we can have a smaller kitchen team to maintain social distancing.
“Our teams are amazing and we’d never ask them to come back to work if they weren’t comfortable, so they’re returning on an opt-in basis.”
