The Sunset Burger is back on Nando’s menu due to it being much loved by fans of the popular restaurant chain. On social media, Nando’s wrote that it had listened to the demands of customers and re-introduced the burger to their restaurants.

Available for delivery via Nandos.co.uk from yesterday, the Sunset Burger has been re-introduced to the restaurant chain’s menu.

Nando’s is famous for its succulent chicken, usually paired with a bread bun or wrap, and the Sunset Burger is no exception.

The Sunset Burger combines two flame grilled PERi-PERi chicken thighs, melted cheddar cheese, and smoky red pepper chutney.

Lettuce is also included in the bolo do caco bread roll.

Fans of Nando’s will be able to order the Sunset Burger with any spice of their choice.

All spices from Nanod’s iconic PERi-ometer are still available, including a new limited-edition spice.

This new spice is called the Vusa XX Hot Heat and is said to be extremely hot.

Nando’s said of the sauce: “For thrill-seekers looking to take on Nando’s hottest ever spice!”

The Sunset Burger was first launched at Nando’s back in 2016.

Nando’s said it was “an instant hit” at the time.

It brought the burger back to its menu yesterday since it has been in popular demand since the start of lockdown last year.

On March 22, Nando’s announced that they will be closing all UK restaurants due to the pandemic, including their delivery and click and collect services.

However, on May 29, the restaurant chain announced that customers will once again be able to order Nando’s for delivery and click and collect.

A limited menu was introduced without some of Nando’s usual staples, including the Sunset Burger.

But Nando’s launched other new foods throughout the year, such as a limited-edition PERi-PERi BBQ Pineapple Sancho sauce and a new spice called Spiced Clementine.

The restaurant chain also continued to post photos and videos on their social media, including Nando’s Booth Truths.

Nando’s Booth Truths usually involves various celebrities, often musicians, sitting in a Nando’s restaurant eating and chatting together, and during lockdown they did the same but virtually from their homes.

Since the restaurant reopened with a limited menu last year, the Sunset Burger has been one of the most requested items online, Nando’s has said.

However, when Nando’s posted a photo of the Sunset Burger on its Instagram yesterday, it seemed that customers want yet another item to be re-introduced to the restaurant chain’s menu: the Fino Pitta.

“Get the fino pitta back!!!” wrote one commenter.

Another added: “Bring back the fino pitta I swear to god.”

The comments continued, with another Nando’s fan begging: “Fino pitta next?? Pretty please??”
