Teen baker reveals her easy recipe for s'mores cookies
Looking for a new bake to get you through lockdown?
This teenager has revealed how she makes s’mores cookies – and it’s really easy.
All you need for the simple recipe is a few things from the storecupboard to make the dough, then crushed Graham Crackers (which aren’t widely available in the UK but digestive biscuits are a good alternative), marshmallows and chocolate to create the s’mores element.
Once in the oven, the chocolate and marshmallows melt to give that gooey experience you get with the popular American treat.
Melbourne-based Sienna, who is just 13, shared the method on her TikTok @siennasweets_ and it’s already had thousands of views.
Others were impressed, especially because Sienna is still so young.
One said: ‘Omg your food looks so professional!!! I thought you were an adult but you’re younger than me. Keep doing this queen.’
Another added: ‘I love your videos!’
For the dough:
- 10 tablespoons of butter
- 1/2 cup of white sugar (100g)
- 1/2 cup of brown sugar (100g)
- 1/3 cup of flour (45 g)
- 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of cornstarch
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup chopped chocolate (40g)
- 1/4 cup Graham Crackers or digestive biscuits (12g)
- 1/4 cup mini marshmallows (12g)
