Joanna Gaines Proves She Can Still Do a Back Walkover (Sort of!) in Sweet Gymnastics Video with her Daughter

Joanna Gaines is a gymnastics star!

On Wednesday, the former Fixer Upper star, 40, shared an adorable video of what appears to be her daughter’s gymnastics class — and the mom of five got some time in on the mats, too.

In the video, Gaines’s daughter Emmie Kay, 8½, flips forward, executing her gymnastics moves perfectly. Then, her mom sneaks out in front of the camera, gets in position and bends over backwards, attempting a back walkover before tumbling over mid-way through and laughing.

Gaines captioned the Instagram post, “When you think you still got it… but you don’t.”

While Gaines was hard on herself for the imperfect attempt, to Olympic gymnasts chimed in to praise her efforts in the comments of her Instagram post.

“I’m impressed lady,” wrote Mary Lou Retton, who took home one gold, two silver and two bronze medals at the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles.

Shawn Johnson, who won gold and silver in 2008 in Beijing, added, “Hahaha greatest video ever.”

Outside the gym, Gaines might be about to take on her biggest project yet — fixing up Jennifer Lopez and boyfriend Alex Rodriguez‘s Malibu beach house.

On Monday, a source confirmed to PEOPLE that Gaines visited the California home, and that she and Lopez are considering remodeling the oceanfront property together — but no decisions have been made yet.

“Jennifer wanted to walk the space with Joanna in person,” the source said. “They’re both extremely busy, but it’s hard to take on any kind of home project without actually seeing the space.”

Despite the presence of a camera crew filming the pair outside the property, however, the source says, “There is no formal plan for any of the footage and there have not been any final decisions made in terms of whether Joanna will be involved [in designing the house] or to what extent.”

Lopez revealed on a recent episode of Ellen that Rodriguez had surprised her with a FaceTime call from Gaines as an anniversary gift. The World of Dance creator is a self-professed super fan of the designer, her husband Chip, and their former HGTV show Fixer Upper, which aired its final episode in April 2018.

The Gaineses aren’t slowing down for long however. They announced in November that they have plans to return to TV, revealing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon that they’ll be launching their own network with Discovery Inc., which is the parent company of HGTV, but have not shared when it will debut.
