Gardening expert Monty Don shared his own good luck charm on social media today for the England team. The England team will be playing against Italy tonight at 8pm BST in the Euro 2020 Final. The Gardeners’ World presenter, who confessed he’s not a “football fan”, said on Twitter he couldn’t help feel caught up in the excitement of the Euro 2020 Final.
The game tonight will mark England’s first major men’s tournament final since 1966.
Monty posted a picture of the floral design on both his Twitter and Instagram accounts.
He captioned the photo on Instagram: “Sarah’s floral flag for tonight.”
The post was inundated with compliments from fellow Instagram users who said the design looked “beautiful”.
One person commented: “Looks great Sarah.”
Another Instagram user described the design as “pretty and classy”.
While another person replied: “That is brilliant.”
On Twitter, Monty said the design was a “floral good luck”.

He said: “I’m not really a football fan (the Lions I support are playing with a different shaped ball in South Africa) but can’t help be caught up in today’s excitement.
“So here is floral good luck for the team tonight.”
The tweet received over 3,000 likes and has received a plethora of comments.
One person said: “Wow, this is really wonderful, there Don!
“Not into football either, but the contrast of the daisies with the poppies is really quite stunning.”
Another person tweeted: “I’m not usually into football but I’m definitely getting excited for the big match tonight.”
Another Twitter user said: “Couldn’t agree more with you but wish the England Flag of England football team well and let’s hope they bring it home.”
Another said: “Good for you! Quite beautiful.”
The floral design included what appears to be white daisies and red oriental poppies.
The daisy variety looks like the shasta daisy which is a low maintenance perennial plant.
It looks like the common daisy but grows in bushes.
The red poppies have been designed to create the red cross in the St George’s flag while the daisies represent the white field.
