Spoilers: Fears for Jasmine as mysterious brain injury develops in Home and Away
Jasmine (Sam Frost) has recently been rushed to hospital after a sudden collapse in the aftermath of the food truck explosion, and she has been under sedation. When Christian (Ditch Davey) goes to check on her, he tells Tori (Penny McNamee) he will call Irene (Lynne McGranger) as he wants to try taking Jasmine out of her coma.
When Irene arrives, she is worried that Jasmine won’t be the same when she wakes up. Christian slowly begins taking her off life support, and Jasmine begins breathing on her own. However, when she wakes up, she doesn’t remember the accident.
Christian says that post traumatic amnesia is normal, but after a while, it becomes clear that Jasmine can’t remember the information which has just been given to her. Irene just wants to know when she will be OK again but Christian can’t give any definite answers as he sends Jasmine off for more scans.
Later, Irene and Jasmine are stunned to hear that Rachel has been rushed back into hospital, but just minutes later Jasmine’s brain resets and she asks how Rachel is all over again. Irene stays with her overnight, but she is scared when Jasmine suddenly wakes up and tries to escape from the hospital.
In the morning, Jasmine is still confused and trying to get everyone away from her when Christian returns to check on her.
However, the neurosurgeon begins to suspect she is suffering from a difficult form of epilepsy to detect – absence seizures.
What could this mean for Jasmine?
