CCTV released of missing Jack Morrad who disappeared from club eight days ago
CCTV images were released today of a missing reveller who vanished after a Christmas night out.
Stars of TOWIE and Love Island have joined the search for Jack Morrad, 28, who was last seen on December 23.
He enjoyed a festive night out with his brother at the Colors nightclub in Basildon, Essex before disappearing.
Police released the CCTV, showing Jack walking along a street wearing a Christmas jumper, as their search continued.
A fishing lake in Gloucester Park in the town will be drained tomorrow amid fears he may have fallen into the water.
Night fishermen reported hearing a person in the lake around the time Jack disappeared.
Stars of TOWIE and Love Island and TV host Rylan Clarke have joined in the social media campaign for information.
Jack is described as white, 5ft 11, slim, with short brown hair.
Det Chief Insp Alan Pitcher, of the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate, confirmed the lake would be drained.
He said: "Night fisherman have stated they heard a man in the area of the lake at around 2am and, to further our enquiries, we need to do a thorough examination of the fishing lake.
"This is not a decision we have taken lightly and I cannot imagine the pain Jack’s family are feeling today.
"Their bravery and determination throughout this search has been commendable, and I hope that our ongoing enquiries will give them the answers they need."
He added: "I would like to thank everyone in the local community for coming together to support our efforts during this difficult time.
"To everyone who has supported Jack’s family, made fliers, or taken part in searches around the town – thank you for your hard work, your hope and your dedication."
Police have urged residents in the surrounding neighbourhoods to check their gardens and sheds for any signs that someone may have sheltered there.
Drivers in the town have also been asked to check their dashcam footage for any sign of Jack between 1am and 6am on December 23.
