The former National Basketball Association (NBA) player has the fortune of $500,000, or £399,000, according to International Business Times (IBT).

His fortune may seem surprisingly low considering he enjoyed a successful career as an athlete.

Dennis has played for teams including Detroit Pistons, San Antonio Spurs, Chicago Bulls, Los Angeles Lakers, and Dallas Mavericks in the NBA.

His talents were recognised and he received NBA All-Defensive First Team honours seven times.

The basketball professional also enjoyed success as he picked up the NBA Defensive Player of the Year Award twice.

While playing with the Chicago Bulls in 1997 to 1998, he earned an incredible salary of £7.2million, according to Celebrity Net Worth.

During this time, he also built up a huge fanbase of his own.

Dennis added to his bank account with his autobiography Bad As I Wanna Be that was released in 1996.

He retired from basketball in 2011 with a total career earning estimated at £21.5million.

However, his net worth started to lower as he struggled to adapt to life without his NBA salary, IBT reported.

Despite having other earnings, this could have caused the NBA legend’s fortune to drop.
