Enjoy a drink 443 feet in the sky in the London Eye's new pub

A new pub has opened in one of the pods of the London Eye, just in time for indoor drinking to return (although not as you know it).

As part of a partnership with Beefeater Gin, one of the Eye’s 32 pods has been transformed into a glass-walled boozer.

Punters can enjoy a selection of beers and wines, as well as some exclusives from Beefeater such as their peach and raspberry gin.

Sit on the red velvet pub seats and enjoy the view of Westminster and the Thames as you ascend 443 feet into the sky on Europe’s fourth-largest ferris wheel.

Opening hours will be 12pm to 6pm on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays between June 4 and September 5.

Unfortunately you can’t just head into this pub, you’ll need to book in advance.

Tickets cost £55 and include a 30-minutes rotation in the pub, up to two drinks per person, and a Beefeater enamel cup to take away as a souvenir.

Groups of up to five are permitted in the pod until June 21, and you’ll need to bring a face mask to keep things Covid-compliant.

Sunny Jouhal, General Manager at The lastminute.com London Eye, said: ‘We are excited to welcome everyone aboard one of the highest, and most intimate, pubs in London to enjoy a drink with us this summer.

‘The Pub Pod serves up a unique experience like no other – moving across the capital’s most iconic views whilst in the comfort of a British pub!’
