Fantasy football tips: Which players should you pick for November?
1 Aymeric Laporte (£4.2m)
We’ve got a whole lotta love for Laporte at the moment.
The Man City centre-back is the second-best player to pick on Dream Team this season, currently boasting an impressive haul of 81 points.
Only Eden Hazard has notched more so far.
A mainstay in City’s back-line for much of the campaign – missing just one game – Laporte is a guaranteed starter in Pep Guardiola’s team.
There’s a good reason for that, as not only have his defensive displays been outstanding but his towering stature gives City an extra dimension from set-pieces, making him a goal-threat from corners and in-direct free-kicks.
Not only that, but City and their seemingly impenetrable back-line have already come away unscathed from clashes against Arsenal, Liverpool and Spurs this season and are due a favourable run of fixtures in the coming weeks.
2 Willian (£4.3m)
When it comes to Chelsea, it’s not been all about Hazard this season.
In fact, Willian is not far behind the Belgian in the points standings after a string of impressive performances.
The Brazilian currently boasts a record of three goals and four assists in all competitions and has been particularly enjoying himself in the Europa League so far this term, with two Star Man awards in the Blues three appearances.
What’s more, he’s cheaper than Leroy Sane (£4.6m) and Wilfried Zaha (£4.4m), but has more points than the two combined.
3 Gylfi Sigurdsson (£4.2m)
It’s no secret that Gylfi is enjoying life under Marco Silva at the moment.
The Everton playmaker is one of the most in-form players in the Premier League right now, racking up 50 points in his last six games – making him one of the best players of October.
Despite that, he’s still as cheap as chips compared to some of the more traditional big hitters, including Raheem Sterling who he’s currently out-scoring, despite being at least £1m cheaper.
Everton have a fairly straightforward start to November with Brighton on Saturday, so maybe it’s time you picked him for your team.
4 Anthony Martial (£3.2m)
If it wasn’t for Martial, then Jose Mourinho might be spending the festive period looking for a new job.
The Frenchman has saved the Special One’s bacon over the last few weeks, netting against the likes of Newcastle, Chelsea and Everton to keep Man United’s season somewhat afloat.
What’s more, he’s one of the more cheaper attacking options for your Dream Team at the moment and actually has more points than the likes of Roberto Firmino and his United teammate Romelu Lukaku – who are both over £2m more expensive.
5 Callum Wilson (£3.4m)
Wilson is perhaps the worst kept secret of fantasy football this season.
The Bournemouth forward has been a fairly cheap option since the start of the campaign, but has slowly risen in price as his goal-scoring form continues to shine.
With six goals and four assists in all competitions, we implore you to consider this goal-poacher ahead of some of the other big names.
