HBO, ‘Game of Thrones’ stars fire back at Trump’s ‘Sanctions are Coming’ post

At least two members of House Stark are not pleased that the Trump administration has co-opted its famous House words – “Winter is coming” – to promote its sanctions against Iran, which will be announced next week.

“Not today,” wrote Maisie Williams, who plays the youngest surviving Stark sibling, Arya, when she saw President Trump tweet a photo of himself with the slogan “Sanctions are coming” in the show’s distinctive font.

Her response hearkened back to Season 1 when the character’s Bravosi sword-fighting instructor would ask her, “What do we say to death?” to which she would respond, “Not today.”
