Kate reveals cute way George and Charlotte are getting ready for Christmas
Christmas is the most exciting time of the year for most children, as they eagerly wait to see if they’ve been good enough to warrant a visit from Rudolf, Dasher, Vixen and the big man himself.
And it turns out it’s no different if you’re a royal, and Prince George and Princess Charlotte are already in the festive spirit.
Their mum the Duchess of Cambridge spoke about how her two eldest children are getting ready for the big day during a visit to Leicester.
She joined her husband Prince William to visit the city’s King Power Stadium to pay tribute to club chairman Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, a friend of the Duke’s, who died in a horrific helicopter crash last week.
When chatting with well-wishers during the event, Kate was asked how the kids are doing.
She replied: "They’re getting excited for Christmas time because they’ve started all their Christmas songs and Christmas trees are going up. It’s very sweet."
During the chat she also gave an update on Prince Louis, saying he was growing up fast.
She also said she was very excited for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, who are expecting their first child in the spring.
She said: "Yeah, absolutely.
"It’s such a special time to have all the kiddies and a cousin for George and Charlotte as well, and Louis.
"It’ll be really special".
The comment comes after a variety of rumours that there is tension between the Duchesses, and that they don’t really get on.
Kate laid a bunch of flowers at the scene where Vichai died last month.
The chairman and four others were killed when the Agusta Westland AW169 crashed in the club’s grounds.
The couple met members of Vichai’s family and representatives from charities he supported over the years.
