Maura Higgins’ beautiful NTAs makeup look was created using these exact products – including £9 mascara

You’d be forgiven for thinking that when it comes to the red carpet, makeup artists rely exclusively on expensive, luxury products to create celebs’ beauty looks.

However,Maura Higgins’ MUASuzy Clarkehas shared a look at exactly what she used for the formerLove Islander’s National Television Awardsmakeup, and you’ll not believe how affordable it is.

Maura looked stunning as she walked the red carpet in a black cut out gown with embellished pearl details, and for her glam, Suzy opted for dewy, bronzed skin and a sultry cat eye that made her awards ceremony ready.

Taking to her Instagram stories, MUA Suzy shared a behind the scenes look at the makeup products she used for Maura’s NTAs glam, which included the Maybelline Lash Sensational Sky High Mascara, £9.59 here (was £11.99).

The mascara helps to coat and separate each individual lash, making them look longer and amping up their volume for a fluttery, dramatic effect. To help maximise the effect, Suzy also added a set of Tatti Lashes’ Lash of Honour falsies, £7.95 here, and used the Maybelline mascara to help blend them seamlessly with her natural eyelashes.

Red carpets are the perfect place to go all out, and Maura’s smokey cat eye helped level up her glam to suit her incredible floor length gown.

To create the look, Suzy used the Makeup by Mario Master Mattes Palette, £51 here, which includes 12 rich browns and beiges to create the perfect smokey eye. If £51 is a little out of your budget, this No7 Eyeshadow Palette in Nude, £14.95 here, has most of the same colours at a fraction of the price.

Her eye makeup was finished off with some sharp winged eyeliner using the Hildun Beauty Silk to Set Kajal Liner in shade Chocolate, £16 here, which has a creamy, pigmented formula that sets all day once applied, and the Anastasia Beverley Hills Brow Freeze, £19.72 here (was £23), which helped to sculpt and set Maura’s perfectly manicured eyebrows.

To let Maura’s eyes do most of the talking, Suzy kept her complexion natural-looking and dewy, and stuck to a neutral colour palette for her lips.

She used the MAC Cosmetics Lip Liner in shade Spice, £16 here (was £20), to outline and define Maura’s lips, before filling them in with Anastasia Beverley Hills’ Satin Lipstick in the hue Rose Dream, £21 here, for a pink-toned nude that worked perfectly with Maura’s radiant skin.

For the final touch, Suzy used Unicorn Cosmetics Bear Face Lip Oil, £12 here, on top of the lipstick for a glossy sheen with a subtle tint of pink to it, without any of the stickiness that comes from a traditional gloss.
