He expects me to cook and clean for him and he’s very mean with his money – he won’t even pay for a meal out or a cheap holiday.

I’m 68, he’s 67, and we’ve been married for 35 years. We have two grown-up children.

Recently, he came into an inheritance and he spent it all on himself, buying a new car and various boys’ toys.

We no longer have a sex life or anything in common. I’m starting to wonder what is the point of being together.

My son has said I’m welcome to live with his family – they have a granny flat and I’m tempted.
