Nick Jonas Got Brutally Honest About His "Many Weddings"

Nick Jonas enjoyed his lavish, multi-day weddings to Priyanka Chopra — that is, until the bill came.

During a new episode of Carpool Karaoke with James Corden, brothers Nick, Joe and Kevin Jonas were hooked up to a lie detector and put to the test as Corden fired a number of personal questions at them.

When it was Nick’s turn, the 26-year-old singer sat motionlessly and stared straight ahead as Corden jokingly asked, “Was there a point during your many weddings that you thought, ‘I’m done with these weddings?’”

After sitting silently for a moment with his eyes closed, Nick took a deep breath and quietly admitted, “Yes.”

Once it was determined that he told the truth, Nick giggled and hilariously added, “It was when I looked at the bill!”

The “Jealous” singer tied the knot with Chopra in December after a July engagement that followed two months of dating.

Though the pair officially only had two weddings — one western Christian wedding and one Hindu wedding — the weddings kicked off weeks of parties, receptions and ceremonies in India and in the United States to celebrate the couple’s nuptials.

The extensive celebrations have prompted several jokes, including ones from the bride herself.

In February, Chopra, 36, joked on The Late Late Show that she had “32” wedding ceremonies, before insisting the occasion was “conservative” compared to other Indian celebrations.

“[We had] two weddings,” she said. “One western Christian wedding and one Hindu wedding for our religions. Otherwise, we had pre-rituals. Indian pre-rituals can go on for like five days. Mine was just two. I was conservative!”

Joe also recently joked about the ceremonies during an appearance on The Late Late Show. When Corden asked Joe if he had picked up any tips from either of his brothers’ weddings, he joked, “Mostly things not to do.”

“They were both absolutely beautiful,” Joe said, cheekily adding, “all 18 of Nick’s was amazing.”

“Kevin had a snowstorm during his wedding, which was fantastic,” he continued, “so maybe don’t get married in December. And then for Nick, there was quite a few, but I would say stick to one. One and done!”

The Jonas Brothers released their first new song in nearly six years last Friday, a catchy pop hit called “Sucker” about being head-over-heels in relationships. Nick, Kevin, and Joe’s leading ladies, Chopra, Danielle Jonas and Sophie Turner also starred in the music video.

In the Carpool Karaoke segment, the brothers sing their new song, plus a number of their past hits including “Burnin’ Up”, “Year 3000”, “When You Look Me in the Eyes” and “Love Bug,” during their Carpool Karaoke appearance — which is part of their week-long Late Late Show takeover.

In the hilarious 14-minute video, the brothers talk about everything from the band’s break up and anticipated reunion, to their time as Disney Channel stars, and why they ditched their iconic purity rings.

Reuniting wasn’t something Nick, Joe, and Kevin had originally set out to do. The trio was filming an upcoming Amazon Studios documentary at the time, which was supposed to be about their childhood, their time in the band, and their lives today.

“It was to tell our story… and in that process, we did some very necessary healing because when things ended, it wasn’t the best. It was forced healing on camera,” Nick explained during Carpool Karaoke.

“And then in that, we started saying that there was a magic when we were together that we would all love to feel again,” the youngest sibling added.
